Isabella Saraceni is an artist living and working between Ohio and Connecticut. She holds a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Connecticut where she studied Painting and Drawing and is currently an MFA Candidate in Visual Art with an emphasis in Painting and Drawing at The Ohio State University. Isabella's work has been exhibited in various group and solo exhibitions nationally and internationally at VAIS Gallery in Storrs CT, and Five Points Annex Gallery in Torrington CT.
Her interdisciplinary studio practice utilizes painting, sculpture, alternative photo processes, assemblage, and installation. This work seeks to maintain connections with both the living and the dead, the human and the non-human, the passing of time and the every day.
As an extension of her studio practice, Isabella completed training toward becoming an End of Life Doula. As she dives deeper into this work it continues to inform her connection with her own mortality, interpersonal relationships, and her art practice.
